Meeting held at Glencoe History Room,
City Center 7pm

Minutes were approved, Lowell 1st,
Joyce 2nd, unanimous approval
Treasures Report – Louise Carlson
- March Balance$19,285.66
- pd State Farm $352.10 for insurance
Old Business Nikki and Joyce addressed the 501c-3 registration. There will be a bill for $35
New
Business
-Joyce suggested selling donated household items as a fundraiser idea
- discussed potential sites for future
meetings – former Masonic
Hall and other historic homes
- Jerome Ide and Rich Glennie have
been researching historic photos at McLeod County Museum
- discussed the newspaper closings and the effect it has on recording history as it happens
- discussed the older homes in Glencoe
- discussed the idea of putting
historical agricultural structures on the National Register such as the
Creamery, Elevator, and St. George church. All of these are currently for sale.
- discussed the idea of having a book
launch or meeting and having notable local historical figures dress, talk, and act
in character. This would include Martin McLeod, Axel Reed, Anna Marie Tudhope,
and Co. Stevens.
- discussed arranging to be at Glencoe
Days – Wes to follow up. Ryan will get kiosk updated, and try for a better location.
